Dayara Bugyal is considered one of the most beautiful and breathtaking alpine meadows in the Himalayas. Bugyals are alpine pasture Land or meadows in higher elevation range between 3,300 meters (10,800 ft) and 4,000 meters (13,000 ft) of the Himalayas. Situated at an elevation of 3048m Dayara Bugyal is a classic trek for beginners to discover and experience the beauty of the mighty Himalayas. In winter the meadows are covered with snow & are extremely beautiful and in summer months, the Dayara Bugyal presents a rich floral diversity. The state government has earmarked this place to build a ski center. If and when it is built, Dayara Bugyal will offer one of the best and largest ski slopes anywhere in the Himalayas.
The panoramic views of Mt. Banderpunch, Kalanag and Gangotri range from this meadow are simply breathtaking.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Dehradun And Drive To Barsu (2215m) (220 Km / 4-5 Hrs

Arrive Dehradun airport and drive drive to Barsu. If the weather is clear, you can have a beautiful view of the Himalayas and the valleys around. Barsu is the starting point the trek.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 2 - Trek To Bharnala Bugyal (2580 M)

After breakfast we start our trek to Bharnala Bugyal. We follow a gentle path uphill through magnificent rhododendron, oak forests. On a clear day we may get out first glimpses of the Gangotri Himalaya. Almost as soon as you reach near the tree line you’ll find yourself at the small summer settlement of Bharnala (2580m).

Day 3 - Trek To Dayara Bugyal (3050 M)

After breakfast we start our trek to Dayara Bugyal. There is a beautiful small lake just above the camp we continue our walk towards the the end of Bharnala Bugyal and then enter into dense mix forest. Arriving in camp after just a couple of hours walking. After lunch we can explore the Dayara bugyal.

Day 4 - Trek Along The Ridge To Bakaria Top (3800m), Enjoying The Views Of Gangotri Range

After breakfast we start trek along the meadows and gain altitude gradually till we reach Bakaria Top Bakaria Top. Dayara Bugyal is divided into many small bugyals and Bakaria top is one of them. The views from the top take your breath away. Snow capped mountains, Valley deep below, towns as far as Uttarkashi can be seen from the top. It offers a 360 degree panoramic view of the entire greater Himalayas. Breathing view of Bandar punch Massif, Black Peak, Srikanth, and Gangotri group of mountain. From the top the trail follows along the ridge to Dayara Bugyal with commanding views of the Himalaya all along the route.

Day 5 - Trek To Raithal Village & Then Drive To Rishikesh

After breakfast we will start descending through the dense oak forest to Raithal Village and drive to Rishikesh. We will reach Rishikesh by Evening.
Stay: A beautiful homestay
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Approximate walk profile: 6 km / 2-3 hrs. (200 km /5-6 hrs Drive)

Day 6 - Morning Free To Explore Rishikesh & Fly Out By Afternoon

Known as the world capital of yoga and meditation, Experience Rishikesh before heading back with happy memories :)
