Itinerary
We Begin our walk at the Saint Catherine Chapel built in 1510 to commemorate the victory over the Adil Shah by Alfonso De Albuquerque. Also Viewing some of the other ruins found in and around old Goa displayed in the open space at the Chapel.
As we walk past these ruins we head to the Convent and Church of Saint Francis of Assisi built by the Franciscan order.
After the Visit of Saint Francis of Assisi we walk along Rua Direita towards the Viceroys Arch rebuilt in 1597 by Governor Francisco Da Gama .
Walking past the Viceroys Arch we visit the Saint Cajetan Church a miniature replica of the Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome.
We Proceed to the Sé Cathedral dedicated to Saint Catherine one os Asia's largest Churches.
Finally we walk across the Sé Cathedral heading towards the Basilica of Bom Jesus where the Relics of Saint Francis Xavier are laid in a glass airtight coffin in a silver casket.
