Ladakh is about 3500 Mts above sea level, we advice the rest of the day to be at leisure. It will enable you to get acclimatized of the rarefied air and high altitude.
After breakfast we will start our journey towards Sham side and will visit :
Magnetic Hill - a gravity hill alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference. In reality, the effect is an optical illusion. Popular spot on Leh-Srinagar highway.
Patthar Sahib Gurudwara - is a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, built in 1517 to commemorate the visit to the Ladakh region of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith.
Spituk Monastery (Kali Mata Temple)- It is located between the Hall of Fame & the Magnetic Hill. It is Kali mata temple. The Kali mata idol is quite grand with 6 arms & there are some other idols as well.
The face of Kali mata’sis covered with a cloth due to religious reasons & which is removed only for 2-3 days in a year during an annual festival. Hall of Fame – Glorious museum constructed & managed by the Indian Army. A place to see the memorabilia, images and weapons used during the Kargil and other key strategic battles fought in Ladakh
Who doesn’t want to see the world’s highest motorable pass. While this is one of the most popular things to do in Ladakh, once you cross the pass, you’ll reach Nubra Valley these villages have a very low population density.
The very famous Pangong lake is situated in vicinity to the valley. There are various other water bodies to see and admire in Ladakh, which remain unknown.
Here are some reasons why Nubra valley should stay at Nubra valley for atleast 1 night.
Remote Villages - Nubra Valley is home to some of the most isolated, and offbeat villages in the Ladakh region.
Dazzling Diskit - You will be staying the night here if you plan to cross the Khardung La pass. But don’t just leave the next day. A comprehensive list of attractions in Diskit makes for a stay.
The Deserted Hundar - Hundar is surrounded by massive sand dunes – and the camel safari here is one the famous things to do in Nubra Valley. The safari, which is done on Bactrian double humped camels, gives one an eerie feeling of a desert at such a height, at almost 10,000 feet. Due to this reason, it is hundar is sometimes called ‘The Desert in the Sky’.
If you go beyond Hundar, you will be treated by a landscape which is unseen in the rest of Ladakh, and people which are unseen in the rest of India. Turtuk, India’s northern most village, lies nearby to the line of control between India and Pakistan, and is one of the most unexplored places.
Though Buddhism is the major religion in Turtuk, it features a mixed culture influenced by the Tibetan, Indian and the Muslim way. This also explains the unique physical features of the people you’ll see here.
On arrival checkin at the camp and enjoy the clearest skies and an exhilarating view of the stars at night.
Pangong Tso at an altitude of 14,500 ft is 4-5 kms wide and over 135 kms long, about two-third of which lies on the other side of the Indo-China LAC (Line of Actual Control). Pangong Tso was featured in the last scenes of the 2010 movie, 3 Idiots. After the success of the movie, this beautiful natural location has attracted more tourists from all over the world.
After breakfast we start our journey back to Leh from Pangong Tso (Lake) via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft – Third Highest Pass of the world)
On the way back, a visit to you will be rewarded with amazing views of snow clad mountains and valley.
River Rafting in Ladakh is definitely unique and doubtlessly different from any other rafting experience in the country or across the world. This is especially true since this rafting is undertaken in the mighty River Indus. The river, from high-up, charts its course through some of the most beautiful gorges and sights making rafting through it, a most unforgettable experience.
After Breakfast, check out from the Hotel & you would be transferred to Leh Airport. Your memorable tour concludes here.
